February 22, I went in for a second tooth extraction, and saw Dr Bourell again and just like the first time explained the process, I did not feel any pain during and after the procedure and has not endured any aftercare discomfort. Throughout the process Dr Bourell explained step by step what she was doing. She is very professional, very easy going, very informative, pleasant, gentle, and calm. The entire process was very bearable, and the discomfort was very minimal.Her assistants Jess and Grace, were very pleasant, comforting and extremely patience, both girls provided care with integrity. The aftercare instructions to follow up at home was thoroughly explained.Dr Bourell , Jess and Grace are a wonderful team, they respect each other, they worked together with such a professional and calming mannerism in their collaboration during my visit.I would recommend Western Lake Erie in Sylvania. My 17-year old son had impacted wisdom teeth and we were referred to Dr. James Mayer at Western Lake Erie OMS. We were told that he would be under general anesthesia--asleep and not feel or remember anything. When I saw my son, I immediately knew something was wrong. It turned out that he'd WOKEN UP during the surgery and could hear, see, and feel everything. He'd tried to signal to them that he was awake by waving his hands and they either didn't notice or ignored him. His eyes were open. He remembers their conversation during the surgery.I was told that my son HALLUCINATED the entire thing and that it's very common for the 'hallucination' to happen during surgery. My son is traumatized from the experience and the staff never owned up to their mistake or even had the decency to follow up on how he was recovering mentally. I do not recommend.
