Ascension St. John Medical Center

Had to have surgery to rule out cancer plus have fear of anesthesia. I have a master’s degree in nursing so I am familiar with surgical protocol. Pre-op nurses were great but I was treated very disrespectful in the OR. The anesthesia team would not listen to my concerns, blew me off with sarcasm and she physically shoved me around like a piece of meat. The OR staff acted like they were in a hurry and could have cared less about how I felt. I ended up in recovery for over two hours for a 30 minute procedure because I was given too much anesthesia just like I tried to warn them. Also, I was called that morning and told to come two hours early. When I explained that it would be difficult the person got angry at me. I came an hour early and sat around all day without eating or drinking for an hour past my original scheduled surgery time. The OR staff was very unprofessional and uncaring. I will never go back. I wouldn’t take a stray cat here.
