Oak Street Health Cheltenham

A disappointing response from the triage staff when I called for an appointment to see my PCP, Dr. Schiffman. I had a bad fall while in NYC on June 12, 2024 and was in the Bellevue ER for 8 hrs. and discharged with no broken bones or fracture. On June 14th I experienced severe pain in my leg and noticed bright red coloring of the skin. I called Oak street to ask to see my PCP and I was told the earliest I could see her was July 3rd since I had not set up an annual check up. It took all my energy to convince whoever was on the phone to let me see a physician and finally she referred me to the nurse on duty who after scheduling me for an annual check up with Dr. Schiffman, finally scheduled for me to see a physician, Dr. Rogers, for my leg leg on June 24. Dr. Rogers scheduled to have a ultra sound done for possible blood clot and when the ultra sound came back negative diagnosed Cellulitis and prescribed antibiotiotics. I am glad I advocated to be seen else big trouble for me and Oak St
