Village Medical

Village MD either hires incompetent billers or use coding that results in insurance denials. Historically previous visits for exact services never resulted in balances. Attempts to get the billing corrected has been unsuccessful. Communication to billing address listed on any paperwork and online result in being returned as undeliverable. This is not an isolated incident, two individuals in same household have been caught in the Village MD black hole. It is not a reflection on the care our long time personal physician, but we no longer wish to be subject ourselves to any more insurance chaos that this company partakes in. We pay for insurance that has always covered these same services. We will not be deterred by stonewalling and threats to submit balances to collection agencies., nor will not fall victim to their exercise in surprise billing.

Staff should spend more time interacting with the patient and less time talking about their own lives with each other.

Village Medical in Cumberland RI submits billing to Medicare for two Annual Physicals in less than one year apart which is not permitted and one gets rejected by Medicare. Medicare says they used the Incorrect Billing Code and needs to resubmit the correct code to get reimbursed. Village Medical refuses to do take the correct action and attempts to collect the inflated amount of $298.00 rather than a lesser amount for the actual exam they did. Billing Dept. threatens to turn it over to a collection agency. Office Manager won't return my many calls. I found another primary care doctor and would never recommend going to Village Medical
