Not as concerned about the patient as the money
The doctor I saw is basically a pharma trained physician. They bill insurance exorbitant amounts and like I said are more concerned about revenue than people.

Awful up charging
The first thing the front desk person told me was my appointment would be $200+ to $300+ depending on what is discussed. I was confused as my insurance has a $0 co pay for annual visits and preventive care. She went on talking about my deductible hadn’t been met. I stated again I was only there for the one thing and isn’t that covered. She said yes but it depends on how the provider codes the appointment. And if it’s a level three it’s this much a level 4 it’s this much. I asked again isn’t the yearly check up 0, she said yes but it’s up to the provider to code it. I asked can I tell the provider I’m only her for a check up and don’t want to discuss anything outside of that? She said yes but if you’re lying and had an annual already you will be charged, I said perfect and sat down. She then proceeded to leave the window open and discuss with some one I was “screaming at her about only wanting an annual” and “I was clearly only there for weight loss” and laughed where I could clearly he

Protocols
It’s unfortunate that none of the practitioners there in Azle actually have authority to treat their patients. There is a set of medical protocols that direct treatment from some unknown entity above the on site staff. There are repeated staff changes—so you have to repeat your medical history repeatedly which is uncomfortable for many. If you have a cold or a stubborn wart on your hand you’d like frozen off—then this may be the place for the occasional visit. However, if you expect personalized care from a practitioner who knows and understands your specific ongoing medical needs, you may want to go elsewhere. And this is just a recommendation….when you send someone for blood tests, and you find some disturbing results that may need further investigation…sending the patient a text (with no identifying name or ability to reply to questions) with the results and some google treatment tips versus a phone call falls a bit below the patient/practitioner expectation threshold.
