I have bipolar & PTSD. Had psychotic break late 1990s. Am 65, seen psychiatrists in several cities since age 14. First met Dr G 20 yrs ago. He is not the warmest doctor ever but HE KNOWS HIS STUFF! Many great therapists at his office. He, therapist Pat Wampler & nurse Jennifer have helped me endure suicidal depressions, hypomania, & severe traumas (esp. in recent years) with excellent meds & talk therapy. Am better mentally & emotionally than I ever thought I could be. Staff is kind but BUSY because practice is LARGE! Must have patience and follow rules—be early and follow proper check-in procedure; no eating, drinking, using cellphone in waiting room; bring something to do while you wait. Time spent waiting for a few therapists may be long. Give AT LEAST 48 hours’ cancellation notice or get a no-show charge. Sometimes patients are RUDE to the kind staff & waiting-room patients and stress everyone’s capacity for courtesy. If you think you deserve VIP attention, don’t come. Be humble.
