Be sure to ask “ARE YOU IN MY NETWORK” not just do you take my insurance. It was a very expensive mistake for me. You will then owe the full non-discounted amount and get bills for everything. I was not technically lied to as they take my insurance but I was mislead as they knew they were out of my network when they verified my insurance. Told after the fact too bad that’s your responsibility to verify if we are in your network. Well I know now and I won’t make the mistake again but also don’t appreciate that they knew this and did not tell me so they could make more money. They should have to disclose this especially if you ask.
