Very disappointed!
Long wait times notwithstanding, I had a very favorable opinion of Dr. Urso and, for the most part, his staff, until this week. Following a recent cataract surgery follow-up visit, I was directed to the patient portal. To my surprise, I found that my chart included a diagnosis of early stage age related macular degeneration. At no time has anyone ever mentioned this diagnosis nor, as a progress note asserted, was it “discussed with the patient…in detail.” I have reached out to the doctor (by email) and to his staff (by voicemails), hoping to learn this is a mistake, leaving detailed information on my concerns. I have received no response. I tried to schedule an office visit, but was directed to the staff. There is no excuse for this apparent indifference to my concerns about this very serious issue. I will not return to this office and have scheduled an appointment with a doctor elsewhere to learn whether I indeed have early stage ARMD and what to do about it.

What could be improved
