Declined refill with no warning
My prescription refill authorization was declined and I called the office to ask why. The person who answered the phone said it was because I was overdue for a visit. I informed her that I’m taking care of a dying parent and I can’t fit a visit into my schedule at the moment — my mother is dying of cancer in the next 2 weeks and it’s not a great time for me to drive up to Lewisville. That didn’t matter – I needed to come in. If I needed to come in then why wasn’t I contacted months ago when it was more convenient? I spoke to a PA and who reiterated that they would not authorize a refill. We’re talking about a drug mind you that I can get on the Internet. I will not be returning as a patient. This place has gone to pot since Dr. Lyde retired.
