I recently visited this office for a cleaning, and I’m beyond disappointed. It had been two years since my last cleaning because I just moved to Northern Virginia, and instead of any understanding, the hygienist made several rude comments. While flossing, she said, “Do you hear that sound? That’s the sound of plaque.” It was humiliating and unnecessary. She continued to lecture me about not coming in every six months without knowing my situation.To make matters worse, after the dentist confirmed I needed more work, no one could give me a cost estimate. I asked the hygienist, the dentist, and the receptionist, and they all avoided my question, promising to send an email—which I still haven’t received days later.The lack of respect and professionalism was shocking. I won’t be returning.

Fairfax Family Dental Care has taken excellent care of me for nearly 20 years and I could not be happier with their service. They changed my life with some complicated issues early on and continue the awesomeness year after year. Dr. Kamali and Cindy are like family!

Team of assistants are great and everyone seemed fine. Had an issue with one of the dentists over the phone, he kept hanging up on me and was rude. I underwent root canal therapy which was the first mistake. Root canals aren’t a smart decision because the tooth left behind is dead and can cause serious health issues. There is a lot of new studies and evidence that they’re not safe. A lot of dentists have stopped doing them now. So usually if a place offers them it’s not a good sign. I was then threatened with being sent to a debt collector since there was an overdue balance on the account. Interestingly the balance was there for only a week and a half and they were very upset! That was my second mistake I shouldn’t have paid! Especially when someone threatens me.

I worked with Morena as my hygienist and she was incredible. She was sweet, caring, gentle, took her time, and explained every step along the way. I would highly recommend this practice.

Elaine, my hygienist, is gentle and works quickly and efficiently. She’s also a very lovely person with a great sense of humor. Dr. Simanek shares these qualities. I’m 66, and I’ve never had a better experience at a dental appointment than with them! Highly recommend!

FX Family Dental Care is great. I knew I had some problems that needed attention. The Staff treated me with courtesy and respect. When money was tight, they allowed a payment plan for me. They do everything in house and a lab is right down the street I do refer people to this practice to my friends.

On March 17 I called to have my teeth cleaned and I got an appointment on March 23 which was great. My hygienist did an outstanding job in taking x-rays/pictures (without hurting me), cleaned my teeth, explained everything, and was very professional/friendly at all times. Dr. Simanek did a thorough review and let me know what I needed to get done (at a later date). I highly recommend Fairfax Family Dental Care. They have done all of my major dental work and I trust the work they do. I spend 2 hours on the highway to get their care because I have not found a dentist/hygienist team that I trust closer to home.
