Fredericksburg Emergency Medical Alliance

The emergency room acted in good faith. Then comes the balance billing. I have two insurances and what medicare does not pay, the second pays the rest. According to medicare laws, I owe only a $50.00 copay and nothing more. I received a bill $1243.66 after paying my $50,00 deductible. I checked with medicare for the date and time of the emergency room visit and medicare stated they paid the entire bill except the $50.00. Medicare stated DO NOT PAY the bill for $1243.66 because Fredericksburg emergence alliance is billing be now for a bill which medicare already paid. This is called double billing. The only way to reach fredericksbut emergency medical alliance is through the billing agent. I stated that you cannot get paid twice. That violated fraud and abuse laws. If you cannot fix this I have only one alternative which is to report it to medicare. The billing agency said I should file with medicare so I did.
