Virginia Eye Institute

For the past year, I have been seeing Dr. Jacobs for retinal problems. For my last appointment, I had to wait an hour and a half to be seen and finally had to ask the staff what was going on. A staff member then came out to the waiting area to announce that he was running behind. I have another appointment scheduled in January. Instead of calling to inform me so I could reschedule, I was sent a text message. I called this morning and over 30 minutes was transferred four times, only ending with needing to leave a message on the answering machine. I am also a physician, and I have to rearrange patient appointments to see Dr. Jacobs. No one should have to deal with this level of disrespect for their own time. Leaving a text message for me having to assume responsibility for taking care of the matter is inconsiderate, entitled and demeaning.
