Yesterday on December 16, 2021, I had my 6th colonoscopy and 1st with Dr Jaklic at CFHACP. I arrived on time, slightly early as usual. After checking in at the front desk a nurse/employee brought me back to my recovery room/area to change into surgery gown. I told this nurse that I DID NOT LIKE NEEDLES but she came in and plopped the needle and IV stuff on the sheet over my knees. So I said again, "Did I mention that I really don't like needles?" And nurse said don't look!?". I'm in a seated upright position and nurse is telling me to hang arm straight down turning palm outward from my hip and lock elbow, An unnatural position for anyone. After she painfully stuck me what felt like several times, she kept wiggling the needle to get a better flow. This took her about 2-3 minutes? So, instead of looking for another vein and using a NEW IV, the nurse said this SHOULD work and then left me to get another patient out of the procedure room? no more space to enter the rest but it got worse!!
