I was attempting to order new glasses the next day when I noticed that the box for pupillary distance (PD) was left blank on my prescription. I spoke with the co-owner of the practice who said that it was their policy to not provide PD with eye exams, but the co-owner was unable to explain the rationale for this policy in a way that made sense to me. Basically, they give you everything you need to get glasses except PD, and if you choose to go elsewhere for glasses, you have to measure your PD yourself or use a measurement from another clinic. I thought that it was standard practice for clinics to provide PD in an eyeglass prescription, but they responded that they are not aware of what other eye clinics do. It’s my impression that this clinic is being run too much like a business and not enough like a medical practice. I don’t recommend coming here for your eye care, especially if you are a new patient or may be new to glasses.
