If mainstream doctors haven't helped, there's hope
Dr Kumar and the Ommani Center have provided guidance, expertise, and a light during years of dark, confusing, difficult times for me. I've been seeing Dr Kumar for 11 years, starting when I was going through debilitating peri-menopause symptoms in my mid 40's. 'Regular/mainstream' doctors weren't interested, engaged, or equipped to connect all the disparate dots of what I was experiencing. Dr Kumar educated me in her passionate, no-nonsense style and empowered me to take an active, informed role in my healing journey (vs the passive, doctor-please-heal-me). Through all the continued complex changes in my body, brain, emotions during menopause and post-menopause, Dr Kumar has been there for me - truly there for me. Then, a life-altering traumatic brain injury brought my life to an abrupt standstill. Neurologists and 'traditional' hospital therapies offered NO path toward healing, just medications, medications, and more medications - with side effects far worse than the original sympt
