Run, don't walk
Run from this Doctors' office the staff does not care about you, they are not attentive to your needs and treat you like you are a bother showing up. I guess it's hard to find caring people in the healthcare industry these days, you are just a number. Forget about getting attention to get prescriptions refilled, you have to leave messages repeatedly until you have to call the front desk to get someone to know that you are trying to get your refill. Again, RUN, don't walk when it comes to this practice. The worst!

Wonderful Doctor
I went with a friend (she is 19) to see Dr. Caruso today and she got some disturbing news about a heart condition she has. Dr. Caruso was caring, very knowledgeable and kind throughout the session. He also took time to explain things to her and to calm her fears. While the news was scary, it was incredible to feel his warmth and presence throughout our time there. I am hoping to start seeing him as my primary care doctor.

I moved here over a year ago and met Dr. Caruso only once for a new patient consult. He was very nice and professional, and spent about 45 minutes with me. I was satisfied with my choice. However, his staff does not answer the phone, does not return phone calls, and are rude and unhelpful IF you ever get ahold of someone. In the past year, it has taken my pharmacy 3-4 times faxing and/or calling (they don't answer pharmacists' calls either) before they finally fill it. Once, it took 3 weeks to get my blood pressure meds filled. I was out for over a week. Also, when I tried to set up my online account access, I called their tech support number and was treated like an idiot. After numerous tries, I just gave up. Despite Dr. Caruso's caring and attention when I met with him, that ONLY has value IF I can get ahold of him and navigate his less than caring staff. You're only as good as the people who work for/with you. I'm already looking for a different doctor.

Never return calls. Left 5 messages for bloodwork and checkup. Very poor service. May be out of business?

I have called the office four times over seven weeks asking for someone to contact me, but no one has. I hoped we could establish a relationship since I moved here from the Antelope Valley and am now distressed that your staff's unprofessional behavior has caused me to rethink my medical care. Very disappointing. Due to Covid-19, I understand the work-from-home situation, but this borders on neglect. I've only been to the office once, in 2019, but nonetheless, I'm ignored. If you can find another health care provider, I suggest you do so for this group does not treat you with respect.

I spoke to Dr. Caruso on a zoom call. He gave me lots of time and asked me questions and answered mine. I usually get Bob, his PA, who is also very good and for most things I do not need to see Dr. Caruso personally.

Dr. Caruso is exceptional. My husband and I switched to him almost two years ago in search of a doctor that would listen, explain and explain in a manner that's understandable. We also wanted someone that does not make you feel rushed. Dr. Caruso checks all those boxes and has a great bedside manner. What a find! My husband and I highly recommend Dr. Caruso!

We were new to the desert 4 years ago and needed a new doctor. We were lucky enough to find Dr Caruso. He is the best! Dr Caruso is very thorough and spends as much time as necessary with you - no rush. We are very pleased with him as well as the entire staff.

Dr. Caruso is one of the most compassionate, knowledgeable doctors I have ever dealt with. He will spend as much time with you as needed to understand the situation and recommend best solutions possible. A somewhat rare bread in today's world of medicine.

Dr Caruso is a great doctor and care giver. Unfortunately his front office and reception staff, and his PA are substandard professionals, and rude to boot. Not even remotely helpful, will give wrong info to end call/ avoiding the effort to be helpful.

It is almost impossible to talk directly to Dr. Caruso. The office staff prevents direct contact with him or with his assistant. When leaving a message on the Assistant's phone, the call back is not made until very late in the day, if at all. Dr. Caruso NEVER calls back himself, even when requested to do so. Getting an appointment in a reasonably efficient time is impossible, usually requiring a waiting period up to one or two weeks.

Dr. Caruso is the best Primary Care Physicians I have ever had. His office staff are on it. They get things done. And Dr. Caruso is kind, caring and doesn't rush you through. Also has a great sense of humor!
