Acid reflux
I found Dr. Vastola thorough during my exam. He listened to my concerns, recorded them in the chart and then did the physical part of the exam. He prescribed medicine and told me to call him and let him know how I was after the two weeks. He was the ENT my pediatrician recommended when my kids were small, and he treated them. I would go back to him in the future.

Extremely Disappointed!
Dr. Vastola was extremely dismissive and disinterested he barely examined. Ultimately I left his office woke up the next morning in excruciating pain in the ear he supposedly examined - I called Dr Vastola - his response was go to urgent care! I was just at his office the day…Either way I went to urgent care had walking pneumonia and a perforated eardrum in which Dr Vastola did not address! If you value your health steer clear of this guy!He should not be practicing medicine any longer - he’s unenthusiastic- unmotivated - disinterested- rude - unreceptive and most importantly “reckless”.

RUN!!
Dr Vastola was very rude, dismissive and took longer speaking into his recording device to chart his notes more than listening and addressing valid concerns about my daughter. He only cared about getting his charting done the whole time. He answered my questions like I was a child and had no intelligence. I was really disappointed with the visit and will never go back to him. I left with no real answers or guidance and as I was talking he said goodbye. How do you still employ someone like this after all these comments. What a mark it leaves on your practice. Dr Dolitsky was amazing like night and day. Ill travel to Manhattan next time. Thanks for nothing

Rude and abrupt to me
Just got a call from Dr. Vastola with my thyroid ultrasound results. He was very abrupt and wouldn’t discuss the “ nodules” I have. Just said “ It happens. Check back in a year or two.” I felt like I was annoying him asking questions. When I asked if there is anything I should or shouldn’t be doing or eating he just said. “No” and when I said “okay” he hung up. I had another question. I’m still confused and concerned. Our conversation lasted not more than 30 seconds. That was really unprofessional, uncaring and rude. He never even said goodbye. I won’t be going back to him.

I am soo happy I listened to my child pediatrician and brought my daughter all the way from New Jersey to Dr. Vastola! He is an amazing doctor very nice and makes sure he listens and answers all your questions! I will visit him anytime I need to see an ENT I will be going to him! I had profuse pressure and pain in one of my ears for a few days - Dr. V saw there was a blockage and resolved it immediately and painlessly. Dr. V should have been the first doctor I saw, not the second! I’m so appreciative, I wouldn’t hesitate to use him again.
