Dr. Aaron Affleck, MD

Dr. Affleck is an excellent opthamologist and surgeon. My experience with him and his office has been very positive. He is knowledgeable, patient, and skilled. I had cataract surgery for both eyes and am very pleased with the results. Dr. Affleck anticipated most of my questions before I even asked them, and was clear and concise. My results turned out just the way he said it would. It is very gratifying to see with almost perfect vision after a lifetime of myopia and severe astigmatism.

Smart, professional, common sense, takes the time to answer all my questions and concerns.

Great Doctor, Great Staff, Great Service

I would never recommend Dr. Affleck or his practice to family or friends. Every time we had an appointment we would arrive on time and usually be left to wait in the waiting room for an hour and then another hour of waiting in the exam room before the doctor would come in. Two hours of waiting for a 10 minute doctor visit - totally unacceptable! And the appointment was for my under age 10 daughter. How can she be expected to wait for two hours for a doctor appointment? The doctor never apologized or had any reasons for the long wait. Why would an eye doctor have you wait for two hours??? The staff was unhelpful and often rude. The doctor didn't seem to care. Overall we had terrible experiences every time we went. After two years of this kind of treatment we went elsewhere for my daughter's eyes. We are having a much better experience NOT seeing Dr. Affleck.

I feel like too many people leave online reviews just because they feel a need to tear down others. If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything. My daughter had previously had a traumatic experience with her eyes. The Ophthalmologist that saw her at the time referred us to Dr. Affleck. Dr. Affleck and his entire staff were professional, understanding, and courteous. They explained everything...even the fact that they didn’t have an agreement with my insurance company. A+++!!!

Our wait was not long. I had all the paperwork and previous records ready and brought them with me. They were great with both of my children. The Doctor was polite and explained everything he was doing and why. He answered every question we had and was very positive.

The dr was great.... his entire staff on the other hand was rude, short not good with children at all. Rather then telling us about their deposit policy prior to the hour trip it took me to get there, she very rudely refused to even fit my child for glasses. This is the second time we had a problem with extremely is the Sellitti if it was anybody else offered his services in the area I would definitely be taking my business elsewhere however he’s the only doctor that handles juvenile arthritis

Dr. Affleck took more time with me than another other doctor has explaining my condition. His knowledge was outstanding. Staffing were happy. Dilated exams take a long time. I was looking for new glasses and was concerned it would cost a lot. I was actually taken to the optical shop- before my exam. It was nice looking for glasses without my eyes being uncomfortable for an exam. I cost - same as others, but the quality was much better from the extra measurements and care they took.

He did my cataracts- He is the best in town! His staff is friendly, and knowledgeable. They helped me even get some special funding to help with payments of surgery since I only have Medicare for coverage. Now, all my friends see him too.

Good Doctor and staff. Would recommend him to everyone.

Went with my mother to her appointment. Dr. did not seem to be sure of his decisions..Staff was totally rude and did not seem to care if we was there or not. I do not think my mom received good care.

In addition to my appointment 6/5/17, I received a bill from CalPers, my medical carrier. Apparently Dr. Affleck's wife/office manager decided to bill my medical insurance instead of my VISION SERVICE PLAN, my eye plan.Considering she constantly complained about VSP when I was in there.I called her & asked why she did that.To get more money?She said "Well, you have diabetes &cataracts."I said "WHAT?! I do not have cataracts!Actually your husband said my eyes are very healthy!"She NEEDS to go!

The technician was HORRIBLE!! Gave me glasses i paid 400.00 for and can not wear she blamed me for choosing the wrong kind of frames, 2nd visit told me i needed Asian fit frames, 3rd visit said my ears were not even, 4 visit a new pair of glasses and told me i need to get use to them because I have never worn glasses that were designed just for me. It's been a yr I wear my old glasses and will never go here again. Watch out for her get your rx and run to another place to order them. Dr. great

Never every will I go back. Officeven manager treated me like I knew nothing, and the address helping me was put down in front of me while she was doing an excellent job getting measurements and selecting glasses. She took over and the look of humiliation on that girls face reallt upset me. I was then told was a liar. 2 weeks later I got my glasses and lo and behold she had screwed them up and have yet to make it right. She has been rude and plain ignorant to her staff.

Absolute awful experience. The staff and manager here are horrible. They told me working with the insurance was my own responsibility after telling me the would do it initially. I will not be going back to Dr Affleck.

Dr Affleck, himself was good. However, his staff was not. After waiting nearly an entire hour in the exam room at our first appointment I was very frustrated. On top of that, they charged me $45 when I called to change a future appointment. The lack of consideration for my time, followed by a fine for "not recognizing the value of their time" was enough for me! I won't be returning.

My son needed glasses badly and vision therapy both of which were prescribed by another eye doctor after Dr. Affleck told me his eyes were not getting worse so we could just keep watching it.....he was completely wrong and now my son still struggles because he was seeing with out both eyes for almost two years without proper treatment.
