Unprofessional
I had a horrible time when I was Dr. Askew’s patient. He was unprofessional in the way he talked and never figured out the root to my ankle pain. He ultimately recommended this surgery that I didn’t need. I ended up having to get a second opinion from a doctor in Portland and that doctor figured out my issue instantly. The issue was not some hard to figure out mystery either. Anyone I know that has gotten some kind of ankle injury I tell to stay far away from Dr. Askew.

Would not Recommend
It was one of the worst surgeries I have ever had to go through. Askew has no bedside manner, nor follow-up, let alone skill. I had my left foot repaired by this hack, and the outcome was not good. I ended up going to a specialist in Portland for a second surgery to repair the mess Askew made (and yes it was poor practice and application on his part), and two years later I am learning how to walk all over again. If I had unlimited funds I would sue the hell out of him and make sure he never performs foot surgery on another individual again.

Excellent Surgeon
Dr Askew performed emergency surgery on me after an accident. He was very helpful afterwards, providing the care and information I needed to complete my recovery, which has gone just as he said it should. His office staff and PAs were also very helpful, friendly and great caregivers. I highly recommend Dr Askew and his team!

Had without a doubt the worse experience I've ever had in a doctors office with Askew. This guy is the definition of a hack. He made it clear from the moment I walked through his doors that he couldn't care less about my health, the only thing on his mind was getting me in and out of his office doors as quickly as possible. If you are browsing the internet looking for a foot doctor SERIOUSLY TAKE THIS AS A SIGN TO KEEP LOOKING. If I could give him zero stars I would

What a gentle~man! I was so scared before my surgery. His never-ending kind manner and professionalism was so appreciated by this patient. He was very clear and direct concerning my injury and at the same time added a sense-of-humor. I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Askew if you want a terrific Physician who cares about his patients.

Dr. Askew literally saved my leg! I presented a very complex case (multiple prior leg surgeries) that made my case difficult. My ankle was broken in a car accident and I feared I could possibly lose my leg. He miraculously put me back to together again. I am grateful for the expertise, professionalism and sheer talent of this fine orthopedic surgeon. I highly recommend Dr. Askew!

Dr. Askew is an excellent surgeon and I know this because he repaired my Achilles tendon and I am able to walk again without pain. He took time to answer all of my questions before surgery and I never felt rushed during any of my appointments. He truly cared that I should have a full recovery. I wish there were more Dr.'s like him I would probably not procrastinate so much on health issues if I could find Dr.'s who truly cares about patients like he does.
