Dr. Yang has shown me empathy, compassion and kindness each time I have met with him, as well as extremely quick responses through the messaging system! I have already recommended him to people I know!

Again, Dr. Yang is wonderful! He is trying very hard to help me with my pain and coming up with ideas that we both agree with. I absolutely love him!

Dr. Yang called me the “Shopping Cart Guy”.
Dr. Yang called me the “Shopping Chart Guy” making fun of my spinal deformity causing my sloped over posture. I used to be an athlete and at 6’7” I stood taller than most. I wish I could stand up straight again. I can’t look up at the stars at night. Do you think I want to be the “Shopping Cart Guy”? I don’t think it’s necessary for a surgeon to have good bedside manner because in the end I just want them to be a skilled surgeon but in this case I don’t feel comfortable recommending anyone else see Dr. Yang given his lack of empathy and compassion.

It is far too long to explain and to type with my hand issues. I am treated like a thick schoolgirl; mind I’m 62 yo. I was running races before he was ever born so Aaron I actually do understand everything you say. God if you could have been a fly on the wall when he kept asking me ad nauseum “do you understand me?” Nearly every time I come into the clinic for follow up appointments, he bungles up something. At this last visit, he sent 3 of my prescriptions to be picked up in Panama City Beach, FL; I’ve lived in Nashville since 1983. This means I had to miss this evening’s dose of pregabalin as well as tomorrow. There is something wrong with him. He is denigrating and smug.

I am a retired SF Solider with severe lower back pain. Dr Yang has extraordinary bed side manners. Dr. Yang understood my situation and made a few recommendations based on what I had explained. After years of dealing with many in the medical profession, I am on my way to being able to do things I was not for the last few years. Remarkable!!

He is a doctor that knows what he is doing. He also truly cares about his patients. He took great care of my grandma when she had a fracture in her back. I would recommend him to anyone with back problems.

Doesn’t listen well. Not helpful and a waste of time. He has an idea in his head and has a hard time getting past that to hear the patient. One too many “misunderstandings”

Dr. Yang was very well spoken with a great "bedside manner". He explained everything very clearly in words that the average person understands. His staff (including Dr. Shannon) were all very nice. I was taken back for my appointment about 5 minutes after arriving, seen by Dr. Shannon (very nice, and smart lady) quickly after that, followed by both Dr. Shannon and Dr. Yang. Great overall experience.
