Dr. Abbass Shafii, MD

Dr. Shafii has a good sense of humor and put me at ease. The report of the procedure was thorough and included preventive lifestyle measures and clear directions if any complications. All went well.

I recently got a colonoscopy by Dr. Shafii, and while he's knowledgeable and performed the procedure well without complications, I will look for another practitioner in the future.Dr. Shafii is clearly very experienced, and there were no complications from the procedure. This is obviously the most important thing...you don't want any 'mistakes' that end up requiring surgery to correct (such as a perforated colon). He also explained the results well in recovery, and answered all my questions. However, he was almost an hour late performing my colonoscopy...common for doctors, but not ideal for a patient who's very anxious, freezing cold, nauseated and headachy from the prep and has been fasting for 36 hours. He was also on his phone when I was wheeled into surgery, and not only didn't apologize for his tardiness, but didn't even bother to look up and greet me until he finished whatever he was doing. Unprofessional.If he improved his bedside manner, he could be a great doctor.

The doctor was very knowledgeable in his expertise and experience. He also gave helpful recommendations in diet and exercise, not just prescribed medication.

Good man! Tells me what I need to know...not always what I want to hear. I am approaching eighty and he always has my well being as first priority.

Dr. Shafii was wonderful as all procedures can be scary. He has great bedside manner and makes you feel very at ease with his warm demeanor and sense of humor during a less than fun procedure. He made sure that I knew what to expect and he came to see me after i woke up from anesthesia.

Everyone treated me professionally and courteous. If I would change one thing; send all the documents to be signed to an email ahead of the appointment. These forms are lengthy and technical. We, as patients need time to read through and understand what we are signing,

The staff and Dr. Shafii were exceptional: personable, attentive to my concerns, and provided detailed explanations of the procedures. Ryan, Dr. Shafii's medical assistant, provided detailed clarification of the preparation instructions in response to telephone queries. Erika and Allyssa took my vitals, explained the procedure, and prepped me. Dr. Shaffi and his nurse anesthesiologist met with me before the procedure to introduce themselves, answer my questions, and put me at ease. All of the people were friendly and concerned for my comfort. The procedure was completed as scheduled, and Dr. Shafii talked with me about the results before I left. This is the 4th time I have had a colonoscopy by Dr. Shafii, and I heartily recommend him.

How nice and comfortable he made me

All staff was very friendly and helpful. Erica took time to check mom's history and paperwork. Mitzi, anesthesiologist, was on top of everything. Katie got mom's IV started easily and took good care of her post-procedure. Dr. Shafii was very kind, did not seem rushed like some physicians and took the time to explain, answer questions, and instruct us on what to do going forward for symptom management. I would definitely recommend him and Front Range and Peak. We do not live in Colorado Springs but I would come here for my next 5 year colonoscopy when it is time. My GI physician in Pueblo is retiring and I was impressed with Dr. Shafii. Thank you!

I was so nervous…Dr. and his staff made it so comfortable for me… I’m truly happy with everything, he has worked with my parents and it was very successful… This actually makes me want to study and learn more about his study of work.
