Dr. Abhimanyu Ghose, MD

Dr. Ghose was a fine doctor on my first visit but was 15 minutes late to the telehealth visit that ended up only lasting 10 minutes despite me having more questions. When I asked if my (expensive) condition could be monitored every 4 months by my PCP, he told me that "he referred you to me because he was uncomfortable with your condition" (despite this not being true, and despite my PCP being a female). He also prescribed me iron despite me not having anemia to "help with my periods". The nurses were great but I would not recommend him as a hematologist.

Dr Ghose is a new doctor of mine since September 2020. I could not be more pleased with him in my treatment plans. Dr Ghose is very approachable and responsive to all my concerns with my cancer treatment, I also like his medical assistant Barb very much. The entire staff at Arizona Oncology is wonderful. Dr. Ghose is very professional always answers our questions. He reviews all labs & any CT scans with us. If we have questions he has always promptly returned our calls. Would definitely recommend him.

Dr Ghose has been my hemotogist for 4 years and I have been treated excellently. He is on time with his appointments, pleasant and knowledgable.

I was disappointed in the care I got from Dr. Ghose and staff. The staff mixed me up with another patient with another disease twice in my 2 appointments, and made numerous errors on billing and insurance, and even my appointment times. Dr, Ghose did not communicate very well in my opinion. The first appointment I was trying to explain my previous Dr.'s treatment plan because he asked me about it, and he got annoyed and said that is not how I do it. I was simply answering his question, not trying to challenge him. My second visit he literally said less than 10 words to me during appointment.

Visit? I haven't counted them, but I am glad that I had Dr. Ghose for most of them! Over the last four plus years, the number of visits is in the hundreds. I noticed a lump on my left neck in the spring of 2017. In July, a tumor was surgically removed, and the diagnosis was spindle cell melanoma. The doctors involved then said it did not start in the lymph system. Many radiology scans later and no primary site identified, doctors tried to convince me that I needed chemotherapy or radiation treatments. I asked for a 2nd opinion and Dr. Andrew Carroll, my PCP, referred me to Dr. Abhimanyu Ghose at Arizona Oncology in October. Dr. Ghose taught me about immunotherapy, a way to treat my cancer with the ability to stop or pause temporarily if things were not going right. 48 bi-weekly treatments filled up 2018. Since then, we take looks (more scans) every six months, and I am still here! I have had a few issues that could be handled with minor surgery. I trust Dr. Ghose to keep me kicking.

He runs on time usually. He listens well and explains things thoroughly, with great knowledge. I would recommend him.

It was a a little stressful for me to make these doctor visit not knowing what the results of my blood work may have been. Everyone was nice , kind and I felt much better and the visit. I would recommend Dr. Ghosh for you care as well.

I respect the Nurse Practitioners and Dr Ghose who visit me in the office when called upon. The MAJOR problem I have-which no one cares about, so I have to suffer, is that no longer can I pull my Labs from Sonora Quest. You WILL NOT TELL ME THIS, but you are now using LabCorp. I can tell by the bill I just got. Look, I am a retired Home Health/Hospital Nurse who always prided myself on being properly prepared when initiating a discussion with the Physician on hand. Previously, I was able to pull Arizona Oncology and Dr Ghose from Sonora Quest Labs and it is properly displayed by date and Physician. No longer; I can no longer pull up Dr. Ghose's labs. If you in any way can help me, it would be wonderful. Please allow me the opportunity to see my labs. Thank you, Greg Holden

I was disappointed with my last meeting. I did the requested blood work at AZ Oncology facility ahead of my schedule. Next my visit was not with Dr. Ghose but another Dr. She stated that the CT scan can back good & nothing showed up. When I questioned about the blood work she stated that it is was not correctly reported for what Dr Ghouse needed. After the visit I left & received a copy of the blood test work performed. I am now rescheduled for another blood work & appointment with Dr. Ghouse in 3 months.

Definitely a well balanced clinic, great doctors and nurses that make you feel at home. I have attended several clinics in my long fight against cancer in the past 7 years, and Arizona oncology stand out for their service, you don't feel like just another number here.

I follow-up with Dr. Ghose on a regular basis for Stage 4 Renal Cell Carcinoma. His pharmacist, Geoffrey, in responsible for getting my medication to me on a monthly basis. He is tremendous to work with, always has my drugs delivered online and even seeks grants to cover my copay. Amazing service.
