Horrible patient care
I've been a patient for several years. He seems like a knowledgeable physician, but when needed, he will not return message requests on the portal and his office will not respond to left messages. I've been trying for over a month to get a prescription refill for my asthma and can't get it done. I finally saw him on an annual visit, and he blames his staff. Even after the visit, the prescription is still not filled. I have to physically go to his office to get any response. Absolutely horrible! If you want a responsive doctor, do not choose him.

Really a shame I can't rate as zero stars. Saw this man for over a year- was talked down too, told me my breathing problem was solely because I was overweight. Diagnosed me with asthma. Shortly after that I was found unconscious in my home in respiratory arrest and failure. I spent the next 15 months in 3 hospitals, 4 nursing homes and a long term care facility. Was on life support 3 different times, intubated 4 times and was given a tracheostomy. By the way, I did NOT have asthma and it was nothing related to my weight! This man speaks in an arrogant tone and barely makes eye contact with you. I absolutely cannot recommend this practitioner as reliable and helpful. Don't risk your health waiting for him or depending on him to accurately diagnosed and treat your problem. It almost cost me my life.

Unsatisfactory
Waited months to see Dr. Azad. For the second visit, I underwent breathing exam from highly competent technician, then was called into Dr. Azad's office. He spoke in a barely audible voice, made no eye contact, informed me that I had incurable pulmonary fibrosis, for which there is no remedy, informed me that I was going to die, and recited a litany of old facts cited on various web sites. Saying there was little else he could do other than schedule me for another visit in 5 months, he escorted me from his office without any other comment. Upon returning home, I searched the Internet and discovered a pair of medicines, one of which my insurer covers at $90 per month. In addition, my daughter discovered an Australian podcast that offered a lot of hope based on current research. I have an annual physical scheduled with my primary care physician in another week or so and I intend to find another pulmonary specialist and begin taking medicine as soon as possible. Horrible Doctor, do not go! Did not listen to what I had to say. Filled my chart will all improper information. Accused me of doing drugs (I most certainly do not). Did not answer my questions. He was no help at all with absolutely NO BED SIDE MANNERS. Very rude, left the office in tears.

Not going back
As another commentor said, very dingy office. Asked every visit, why are you here? He was completely unprepared for each visit. Wanted to repeat test (done in his office) just two months before. When returned a month after the 1st test was asked if I had the test done! He went to get results. Entire list of pt. schedule for the day within a foot of me (name, diagnosis, insurance, age). Frequntly very difficult to understand. There were some results of a 'physical' in my portal report that were not done.

Don't waste your time
I would never recommend to see this man. You have to tell him the same information every visit. He doesn't listen to you what so ever or spend time with you. He obviously doesn't know anything or pretends he does. I've been having breathing issues for months and all he told me was to exercise and I would grow out of it and be fine. Don't waste your time. Go to a real pulmonologist who cares.

I would not recommend this doctor to family or friends. He did not answer my questions, was not familiar with my medical history or presentation before my appointment, and gave me mixed feedback with regard to my medical situation. I did not like the office, and found both appointments to be futile.
