Doctor, I saw a utube video on why children cannot stop using opiods. And I liked what you had to say. I see an addiction specialist but not a doctor well versed in this area of the brain. I am in my 5th year of recovery and you are exactly spot on on the brain portion of your video. I was dependent. I stopped cold turkey and I am now working on my Master’s at Pacific Oaks College. Lost a marriage, my son and almost my detective status. My brain could not function. They couldn’t understand.
