Excellent ophthalmology care!
Dr Easterling has been my ophthalmologist for almost 15 years. He performed cataract surgery on both eyes with excellent long term results. He was careful to instruct regarding possible complications and the actual procedure used. The surgeries occurred 10 years ago and I have never had any problems. My far vision is 20/20.Rarely do I need to use reading glasses. I highly recommend him!

Error During Surgery
I had cataract surgeries done by Dr. Easterling on both eyes. The first surgery went fine, but he made an error during the second surgery that was not only painful during the surgery but resulted in my having two different types of lenses in my eyes (one multi-focal, one monofocal). The different lenses have caused problems with my vision and resulted in further headaches. There was no deduction from my billing as a result of the surgery error (I think a full refund was due) and dealing with Clemson Eye's Billing department is a nightmare. At first they said I owed money (even after writing a check for over $2,000 before anything could happen), and then I was told there was double billing and I didn't owe money. Then without notice they sent the bill to collections! My elderly mother had trouble with their billing department, as well. I'm going back to my previous doctor. He is very nice, but I would suggest to others to look elsewhere for service.

Dr. Easterling is very nice, however the office staff is a nightmare. My dad had two appointments, one was canceled in September - without ever letting my dad know. He called to confirm his appointment and they told him it was canceled bc of the provider changing his schedule. My dad rescheduled his appointment for November, which I had to take a half day off to take him. Again, he called to confirm bc he did not hear anything, they said they did not show an appointment for him. I called to complain - got hung up on TWICE. I called a third time and was told the office manager would call me back - nothing. I don't know how they can do this to patients but we are changing my dad's doctor.

I was exceptionally pleased with Dr. Easterling and staff. The office was calm and quiet and appointments were scheduled perfectly with very little wait time. There were just enough chairs for those waiting to see the doctor, so you knew immediately, their appointment scheduling was very organized and followed. Everything went very orderly. The receptionists were very friendly and made you feel welcome. The technicians took their time and were very pleasant, friendly and patient as they never rushed me through any of the testing. Dr. Easterling took time with me and answered all questions I had. He took his time doing my exam and never rushed me through his testing. He was friendly, professional and kind. My husband, daughter and I all had appointments the same day. We all were extremely pleased and knew he would take care of our eye needs from that day on.

My entire family has been seeing Dr. Easterling for years. He listens to his patients' concerns. He is very thorough in his examinations and in explaining condition, options for treatment, etc. We actually followed him from his previous practice to Clemson eye, we were so satisfied.

We've been with Dr. Easterling since he started his practice in Simpsonville with Jervey Eye Group a little over a decade ago. He's seen my kids through many eye injuries and our annual wellness exams. Dr. Easterling always makes us comfortable while treating us with his great skill and kindness. I'm grateful to have him, I'd drive anywhere in Greenville County to have him take care of our eye health and now to Clemson Eye, but I'm very glad he'll have a Simpsonville office soon -ETA April 2019.
