Dr. Adaora Ofomata, MD

It was easy to get to my appointment with Dr. Ofomata. She listened and we tried medication that helped with my mood. She answered my questions about my diagnosis and was flexible when I had to reschedule.

Dr. Ofomata has no experience whatsoever. For each appointment, she asks questions and tells her patients to rate it on a number level. According to the patient's answers, she determines whether a patient is better. A patient should NOT be evaluated for each appointment according to a number level. The patients should know themselves whether they feel better or not. This MD is afraid of increasing the dose of any medication. She needs to learn to work with the patients and not rely on books or what she learned in the classroom. Another thing she does is that she asks the patient to show her the medication bottles and shake them. I've been dealing with psychiatrists for well over 20 years and none of this has happened. I am very unhappy with this provider and will request a new one. Hands-on experience is the best. An MD cannot rely only on what they learned with books and in the classroom at medical school. A psychiatrist must be open and listen to their patients. I don't recommend her
