Unsatisified
I do not feel Dr. Hunnicutt listened to my questions or concerns. It was a brief appointment and when we had follow up questions, she was not available. I even requested a follow up appointment to schedule to address my questions, but was told by her staff she was not available for 6 months out and could only offer us a referral to someone else. This was after having one initial intake appointment where she sent our son off for testing then is unwilling to meet back with us to review the results. Not acceptable.

It was not a good experience at all. My mother and I have told her multiple times I am having bad side affects such as sadness and fear from my medicine she put me on to help with absence seizures, and she dismissed it like it was nothing. So I thought maybe it was just a phase I was going through. This went on for years until I personally told her I was experiencing these problems. She dismissed my problems and prescribed me more medicine, which I didn’t ask for. My mother right now is trying to figure out how to take me off my medicine safely through calling her, calling the nurses, everyone, but no one will tell us how to get off of the medicine, when we have inquired how to get off of they said we never asked how to get off of that medicine, and never told us how to get off of it. It’s frustrating as I know the medicine is making me feel terrible and sad all the time and fearful, yet no one will listen to me. So anyone who is thinking of going to Honeycutt. Do not go to her. She is nice yes but she doesn’t listen to what you have to say and will go to medicine instantly even if it’s not what you want. Don’t put your kid through this, find a reliable doctor who listens to you and your child if and when issues arise. This is coming from someone who has been and is still being ignored and dismissed by Dr. Honeycutt. So yes my experience was less than pleasant and I don’t wish this upon any child. Also as a side note I started this medicine when I was 15 or 16. I am now an adult (18) and still struggling with these same issues and being ignored and dismissed about my emotions. I am only 18 and having to research what I should do to get off of this medicine safely. I shouldn’t have to do that. It’s infuriating as Dr. Honeycutt is a Childrens doctor and isn’t listening to her patients who are children and teenagers. I am tired to trying to fight for my voice to be heard and then just dismissed. Do not go to this doctor. Also as something I almost forgot Dr. Honeycutt never drew my blood to check my liver and kidneys. I have no idea how my liver and kidney are doing with this medicine and neither does my doctor. They are supposed to draw blood and I don’t remember my blood being drawn. I shouldn’t be the doctor here.
