Disappointed
I rarely go to the doctor except for my usual 3 month follow up with another doctor. A recent experience with Dr. Vittorio had me thinking I need to switch. I’ve had a rough month where multiple things happened and I followed up with her regarding them. (Also, in previous appointments, she brought up weight, which I thought was odd because I didn’t go there to discuss weight.) I had another issue that I had been messaging back and forth with her about as well. The last message was short and off-putting. It actually shocked me that a doctor would talk to a patient this way. It was a misunderstanding about a prescription and I felt her response was unwarranted. She was short and almost demeaning which made me feel horrible for even bringing it up to her. I don’t usually leave reviews…I am now! As of now, I am going to look into other doctors…

Smart
Dr. Vittorio is smart and willing to work with patient directives, meaning with patients who know what they want. I believe this is a person who likes to work with patients who like to do their own work, and prefer it but need medical expertise that allows for nuancing or changing a medical decision.

Very grateful for the quality care
I spent a long time searching for the right doctor to see my 90-year-old mother, who hadn't had a check-up in many years. She has always prioritized others' health over her own by taking family and friends to their appointments. I worried she wouldn't feel comfortable seeing a new physician at this stage of life. However, Dr. Vittorio put my concerns at ease from the moment she met my mom. She treated my mother with the utmost compassion, kindness and respect. She listened to my mom's health history and concerns, addressing her questions and worries with patience. Thanks to the doctor’s warm bedside manner and careful attention, my mother felt heard and well-cared for. I cannot recommend Dr. Vittorio highly enough.Finding a doctor who makes older patients feel seen and understood is invaluable.I’m so glad we found such a wonderful physician for my mom’s healthcare needs.

Unprofessional Lack of Care
I went to Dr. Vittorio struggling with chest pain months after covid (23 year old woman). I was told to wait longer and the pain would go away. It didn’t - so I came back again asking for help. I mentioned that I was concerned for my heart and lungs due to the location of the pain. Dr. Vittorio let me know that she wasn’t concerned and offered me a CT, in my opinion, to get me to be quiet after I was FIRM about my concerns. She misreported and downplayed my symptoms in her report, so I decided I needed to leave. I switched to Essentia and my new doctor doesn’t see why a CT was offered, and has instead scheduled multiple tests, made a plan to figure out what’s wrong, and treats me with care. I would not recommend Dr. Vittorio.

Patients as problems
I saw Addie when she was Dr. Licari. Honestly, I couldn't believe how dismissive she was and how obsessed she was with weight. I had super obvious medical issues that were never diagnosed until I went to Mayo Clinic. She doesn't treat patients as individual people, and instead treats them as problems - especially if you're overweight.

The best Dr I have ever had!
Dr. Addie C Vittorio is the best dr I have delt with. I have a multi-symptom neurological condition. Whereas all my prior Doctors basically said 'Huh, no clue, come back in 6 months.' again and again.. Dr Vittorio had me try various medicines that help with similar known neuro problems, finding a combination that I can withstand, and which helped. My hellish migraines are much reduced along with some of the other problems. It took over 5 years to find a Dr that would dig into what is wrong and treat me! I would have killed myself long since, from the various pains. So she literally saved my life!

Leaving a review so hopefully other patients don't have the same experience. I saw Dr. Vittorio as a 23 year old otherwise healthy adult. I explained to her that I'd been suffering with diarrhea daily for months on end, and she stated there was "really nothing we can do". She had no suggestions for me, and it was only after follow up appointments that she reluctantly referred me to have a colonoscopy. She comes off as condescending and that she does not care about your concerns.

I am leaving this review in hopes that other female patients will seek care elsewhere. While I have nothing bad to say about the staff and clinic, Dr. Addie Vittorio (Licari) has terrible bedside manner. She was my primary for 2 years before I had enough of her rude mannerism and lack of compassion. I would highly recommend any of the other physicians at Mount Royal clinic besides her.

My husband and I went to see her for back to back appointments. I'm fairly healthy but he has a history of melanoma and needed a referral to a dermatologist in the area. She asked me a billion questions about my history, my family history, my habits, and then wrote up a diet plan for me because she thought I should lose weight. When it was my husband's turn she didn't ask any of the same questions, she just asked if he had any concerns at which point he asked for a referral to a dermatologist. I don't understand why I needed the third degree and he didn't get any care or attention. It was disheartening and we didn't return. We love our new primary over at Essentia.

I am adding to my previous review on Dec. 21, 2019. Because Addie Vittorio would not see my husband, he was seen at Essentia Healthcare ER, he was in considerable pain and he has an L2 fracture. He may need surgery in the future.

I would like to start by saying I very rarely leave poor reviews, but I want other people to know what they're getting into. After over 2 years of primary care with Dr. Vittorio (nee Licari) it has been nothing but pain. I came to her with back pain when I was about 19/20 currently 22 and she told me to lose weight because my stomach was stressing on my back. That might seem fair but I'm in my BMI at about 5'7 female at 170lbs. I tried to lose weight per her suggestion; the problem was that I was in so much back/hip pain I could hardly move! Mind you she didnt order imaging/PT nor bring it up after over two years of multiple visits. NEVER once did I mention pain meds in fact I said let's do anything but meds and still she brought nothing up (this was before I knew of these things of course but any dr should know this) Went somewhere else and xrays showed a stuck hip and 17 degree curve of my lower spine. Started treatment pain gone in a day. 2 years of suffering over her ego for nothin

My intact young son has now twice suffered forced retraction at the hands of Dr. Vittorio. This practice is outdated and ill-advised, and I am upset that I could not protect my son from this. Both times it happened before I even knew what she was doing, and my son told me later that it caused him pain. Beware. If you take your intact baby or toddler in to Dr. Vittorio, insist that he keep his diaper on or that she does not touch that area at all.

Dr. Addy Vittario, is a compassionate, caring doctor that will listen to all the patient 's concerns. She is willing to listen to you as long as it takes so that you will get your answers thru further exams, tests, or of she feels you need a specialist. I will be moving to the U.P. of Michigan but will continue to come back to Minnesota to have Dr.Vittario as my personal physician. I have a great deal of trust in her!
