Dr. Addison Wood, DO

I am writing to express my disappointment with the care my family member received at your clinic with Dr. Wood in October 2024. Due to repeated cancellations and rescheduling his surgeries within 2 months right around the holidays, my husband’s health has deteriorated significantly during this period. This has caused unnecessary pain and stress impacting our entire family. We expect a higher level of care and professionalism from your clinic. Additionally, the surgeon’s failure to personally communicate the cancellation and circumstances reflects a concerning lack of ethical standards. As a health care provider, Montrose Spine and the pain clinic should prioritize patient wellbeing. The lack of communication and disregard for our situation have caused immense frustration. We expect better from a health care provider. Would not recommend this surgeon.

Dr. Wood, is a very compassionate, caring, and humble man. Very dedicated to helping others, and helping others improve their quality of life. I was told by other specialist that there was nothing they could do with my back; that I would eventually end up wheelchair bound. I couldn’t walk but a few feet without being in excruciating pain. Dr. Wood looked over my ex rays and other images, and told me that he could fix my back to where I could walk again. To make long story short, I went in on my scooter on July 30, 2024 and walked out a week later. Haven’t used the scooter since. Thank you Dr. Wood and staff for giving me a second chance at life.

From the moment I met him I knew I was making the right decision. It’s two months now since he performed the surgery on my back. I feel like a new man (I’m 76 years old). Professional, knowledgeable, courteous. Never once did I feel rushed or talked down to. A truly caring individual. We’re so very lucky to have him.

Dr. Wood was very engaged in discussing my issues and options. He stated right up front that surgery would not address my situation, which I greatly appreciated. We did discuss my situation at length. I did not feel at all rushed. He did suggest some other options which I will pursue. Quite friendly and personable. A very positive experience.

I can't give 6 starts or I would. He has a wonderful sense of humor, he is compassionate. The whole crew is just great. I don't ever want him to leave and you like his buffalo.
