To deny me a medical excusal for jury duty with my sheer number of conditions, including asthma & a pending diagnosis for MS, which I have suffered for 4 years, after recently suffering neurological problems again, including vertigo and limb numbness within past three weeks, both a mental and physical condition, which affects mobility, my ability to drive safely. My ex husband drove me to my medical appt, bc I do not drive with a sleepy leg or hands on icy roads. Not to mention the fact I described pain, burning, urgency, need to sit on toilet regularly is completely dismissive of my daily struggles and physical pain as a disabled woman. Just because I was not in a lot of pain that moment, doesn’t mean I don’t suffer pain daily. I was going to attend jury duty. Then, I had severe bladder flares daily lately & a literal episode of vertigo. So out of compassion for myself I booked a dr appt to help myself to begin more testing. Sitting on a jury while burning pain, having numb legs, dizziness, is not compatible with being a successful juror. & would cause me completely unnecessary, undeserving pain, suffering & stress … This is the third incident I’ve had with this doctor. This is so wild to me. I just feel like what was the point of my visit. And she didn’t hear anything. And obviously has no interest in my suffering. Or anything I’ve been through, including my son beating me & my arm being torn apart by my dog by accident in the attack. This is not the kind of care I need in my life right now. I need to find better caregivers who are listening and respect me, listen to my pain & have compassion for my disabilities. I am not a number. I’m going to have to protect and defend myself better from now on. We do not need more doctors like this one. There is absolutely no reason for me to suffer pain or discomfort or put my life at risk to drive a far distance with vertigo and numbness in my hands & legs. If you had heard me, this is like beyond simply a non question, non issue. I do not owe the government my pain or suffering or risk of life to attend a jury. Obviously, I will be furthering my testing for MS, taking care of my conditions with a more compassionate primary care elsewhere who is listening. This should not have even been any issue whatsoever. My ability to function day to day is obviously challenging & potentially dangerous with vertigo at random & limb parenthesis. I was as thorough as possible in my description of this to her. Adding to my AVNRT as well … I do not suffer one serious condition but multiple. That’s the definition of disability. I haven’t even noted panic disorder, generalized anxiety and current PTSD & stress from being assaulted. For crying out loud, have compassion. These are my rights. And I’m so very tired of fighting for them, but I will continue to protect myself. & protect my rights as a disabled person. My pain, suffering, struggles will not be minimized or dismissed by any doctors. Or by the government. She’s simply a friendly face who doesn’t see you. And isn’t listening. We are not on the same team though & that’s a big NO for me. Neurological symptoms & mobility issues and pain are disabilities and I will not play this game where they are invisible to anyone. Not for a second. I will be seen & heard.

They just don't make Doctors like this anymore!
I just switched to this Doctor and had my first appointment. She had gone over all my records before seeing me, and was very sweet and kind and addressed issues that needed to be taken care of. She was very thorough, explained things well, answered questions, and had a plan of care already in her mind. A Doctor who will spend time like this is worth their weight in gold! I'm so glad I found her. Her nurse, Tessa was also wonderful, had some good advice for me. Office staff were very good and efficient.
