This was the covering provider for my child’s pulmonologist. When she called she was aggressive, condescending, stated that I had wasted her time calling because my child’s issue was not a pulmonary issue but a primary care issue and implied I was unintelligent for calling the pulmonary service. My child has two forms of airway malacia and OSA and had a cyanotic episode with desats, which is a pulmonary issue but she didn’t know that because she didn’t even know why we called- she just wanted to make it clear that regardless of why we called it wasn’t her problem. It was completely unprofessional and as a fellow healthcare worker I found it disturbing.
