My second routine colonoscopy screening with Dr. Barthell. Both times, I appreciated the thoroughness: a pre-procedure appointment to discuss any changes or concerns and medical history (the last one was by Zoom, which spared me the drive from Sedona to PHX), peri-procedural bedside manners, punctuality and reassurance, and a follow-up call with the results and a plan re: in how many years we see each other. Wonderful Doctor!

Dr. Forstner-Barthell is an amazing doctor. She listens, educates and helps you make an informed decision about your care. She has a very friendly bedside manner as well which certainly makes the typically undesired procedures easier.

She is very kind, outgoing, and makes things very much comfortable with her humor and being put at ease given the awkward nature one might feel going to this specialty.

Dr. Forstner explains things very clearly in a friendly, professional manner. She gas been doing my colonoscopies for years and I trust her completely.

I've been a patient of dr. Barthell for years.With my problems she has kept me a alive. Iam 80years young . I love her, would have no one else, and I had a experience with others,can't compare.

My appointment time was on time and less then five minutes between being seated in the exam room, the nurse getting my vitals and Dr. Forstner-Barthell’s entering the room. After sharing my current health update, we continued to my upcoming colonoscopy. She allowed me a new prep that, in my opinion, will be less stressful then in the past. I have never had a colonoscopy that was as a smooth and no after effects?as in the past and looking forward to my upcoming procedure.

Dr Forstner-Barthell is everything you want in a doctor— expertly knowledgeable, confident, compassionate, and relatable. She is highly trained and confident in her ability and the treatments she provides, and she delivers her care in a very compassionate manner. She never rushes through her appointments, explains things so you understand and makes sure all of your questions are answered. I’d give her a 10/5 rating. She really is that good!

Treatment was very good.

I was referred to Dr Barthell by a friend and unfortunately we had opposite experiences. I went to Dr Barthell due to a fissure. The appointment was very rushed. You literally have until the person in the next room is undressed to get all of your concerns out. The walls are very thin and you hear "get undressed I'll be right back". I opted for fissure surgery and on one of my follow up visits, I had re torn the fissure. The tone and way I was spoken to, I was made to feel as though I tore myself intentionally, as ridiculous as that sounds. "You went and tore yourself again, now we have to start over, since it is worse than before you first came in." When I was in the office, I didn't feel listened to. It felt more like the Dr couldn't wait for me to stop talking, so she could tell me what she was going to do.

Dr. Forstner-Barthell is an AMAZING doctor. There is no one else who I would trust for my care. We found a large mass on my ascending colon that could not be removed via colonoscopy so I had to have surgery. Dr. Forstner-Barthell was with me every step of the way. She took her time in listening to all of my questions and was available any time I needed her. Every facility and staff that I came into contact with had nothing but praise for Dr. Forstner-Barthell. We caught the mass early and no cancer. I will be a life long patient of Dr. Forstner-Barthell. She saved my life. I am grateful to and for her. Thank you Dr. Forstner-Barthell!!!

I have had three differnt surgeries with Dr. Forstner and trust her with my life if need another operation. You cannot get a better surgeion than she. I highly recommend her. If in doubt, ask hospital nurses and other doctors who is the best and she will be one of the first off their lips. She is a Christian lady, and it makes me feel the right doctor and in good hands.

Dr. Forstner-Barthell is a wonderful doctor. She explained my condition in a kind, compassionate way. She took the time to answer all my questions. I would never mind waiting or rescheduling an appointment because I know if the doctor is running late, she is giving her time to someone in crisis. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. F-B.

Leaving my appointment today, I am very upset with how Dr. Forstner handling herself in my visit. From the patient perspective, I have never had a physician speak to me with such a demeaning attitude. She was incredibly rude and insensitive. Needless to say, I felt disrespected, and would not recommend this physician to anyone.
