Don’t use this Dr.!!!
Dr, Khan has done several surgeries on me in the past and everything was good. Now that he has a new PA the office has gone downhill. I need surgery now and for some reason I have been lied to a number of times by the PA and the staff. They do not do what they say they are going to do. No call backs and when I call it’s always next week. You will not ever see the dr as he’s on the phone or in surgery. Now I get a callback because my wife called and the office tech as she called herself thinks I’m starting from scratch, wants to know if I want to make an appointment. I’ve been waiting over a month for the surgical scheduler to call me but she works per diam or is not in today. Good Luck, I’ve read other reviews as this one

Uncaring and Unattentive!
Had major neck (Laminectomy) surgery in May of this year and since my surgery I have had two follow-ups with Dr. Khan's office and he is never in the office and they always say he is in surgery. The last time I was there, I had serious concerns that my fusion was not right and that I couldn't lift my head up. His assistant said I should go to physicial therapy for a month and then see if it corrects itself and that she will have Dr. Khan review the updated x-rays and call me as soon as he can. Well, he never called and this is not the first time. I've only met him once and that was to explain the surgery to me literally right before I went into the operating room. So decided to get a 2nd opinion and boy am I glad I did. This neurosurgeon was completely surprised that Khan's office suggest I go to PT when my x-rays clearly showed failed hardware, swelling and curvature of the neck. I am also having bad spasms. The new doctor said I will now need more surgery, not physicial therapy!

Run - learn from others experience !
I’m focusing on the facts- I never got a diagnosis because Dr Kahn waited 3 yrs to order an MRI. After he, myself and another MD got the results I STILL DIDNT GET A DIAGNOSIS from him anyway. He mentioned 2 disks that was it. I let him know that another MD gave me the correct MRI information and he said “ go to another doctor “. I wish he said that he didn’t want to help me from the start. A neurosurgeon knows what is wrong pretty quickly by listening to your symptoms….. for 3 yrs! RUN AWAY AND FIND A DOCTOR THAT IS UPFRONT.

Poor follow up. I had a spinal simulator inserted with a lot of stimulation working. I also had a SI joint fusion. I had a feeling like the ulnar nerve going into my foot. When I called the office I was asked if the pain was there before. 'We didn't touch the nerve.' Not happy pain in both my back and now my leg and foot have a 'funny bone' feel all the time.

Dr Khan has done two spinal surgeries on me, he has helped me get my life back! I found the office staff to be professional yet caring, and I had no issues getting prescriptions filled or getting my tens unit.

I have been seeing Dr. Kahn for many years now. He is the only doctor that has been concerned with my RSD/CRPS pain, listens to my concerns and has taken things seriously even when my pain doctor blew it off. I continue to see him, have had 5 surgeries including spinal stimulator, disc herniations, double level fusion & SI fusion and was taken care of nicely by him and his staff. They are a busy office, but do want to make sure that things are taken care of.

I was in pain for many years and Decker Khan was able to find the problem that no other doctor could find. As I've learned in the past pain in your back will not always go away with surgery that I've had many back surgeries. Taking pain medication for a long time will just make the pain worse. We have to be patient with our bodies and let our nerves heal. Dr. Khan is a great surgeon and just because we're still in pain doesn't mean he didn't fix the problem. Thank you Dr. Khan

7 Years ago Dr. Kahn preformed L4-L5 replacement. I am now having major pain for 6 mos. I contacted in April for app. June 5th. He saw me and ordered Xray. Was supposed to order MRI, it never happened. I contacted the office multiple time with no results. I have been living in pain for 7 mos. I called and reported him to my insurance. I now 7 mos later am going to go elsewhere. No concern for me at all.

Dr. Khan has absolutely no business practicing medicine! Dr. Khan operated on my cervical spine and when a complication arose he wanted nothing to do with me. I thank God I found another neurosurgeon who knew exactly what was happening. The one level fusion failed, that Dr. Khan performed. The level above and below my fusion collapsed and his EGO would not acknowledge this. I had to have a cervical cage implanted and I am know disabled.

No I would never ever recommend this doctor to anyone! He preformed a spinal fusion on me. I still to this day have intense back pain, spasm, & sciatica. Six months after my surgery I was told to schedule a CT scan so I called & called so many times, I even went there to get this doctor to order my test but I kept getting a run around over & over. I have been in so much pain that I resorted to seeing my ortho doc. The exray shows that the hardware in my back is loose. Not good!

No I would not recommend due to the fact that paper work does not get filed in a timely manner! It is hazardous to patient care THE STAFF ARE EXTREAMLY RUDE! They hang up the phone on you and I'm sure messages are not being sent to the doctor, pertaining to patient care!
