Amhed Sherif started me down a path that likely helped prevent my demise. He treated my disease with a straight forward, non-nonsense and direct communication about what would happen if I didn't make changes in my life. He coordinated my care to determine the cause of my symptoms and diseases and move toward appropriate treatment. He made medically sound decisions which were supported by second opinion. His approach does take some warning (as I was warned): he is very direct and expects patients to become educated about themselves and their circumstances. He cannot resolve issues alone and is very clear on patient contribution to managing their individual situation. I cannot thank him enough.

He performed a colonoscopy and the he got all excited and told me I needed to have another immediately. I was under the impression from the way he acted, he found Cancer! I was so worried for two weeks till I got another colonoscopy. You should have heard how he went on and on, Dr. Sheriff missed his true calling as an actor. I could hardly eat or do anything since I spoke with him after the first colonoscopy, I lost just about 35 lbs. After the second colonoscopy, the results were all negative.

Terrible bedside manner. He was 30 minutes late for my procedure, and while I was waiting in the operating room, his staff had to go out again and retrieve him - they stated he was hanging out chatting with the nurses. Then he had the gall to blame me for making him behind schedule the rest of the day! My follow-up for results was 6 weeks later - and he never showed up. I waited an hour before his staff notified me he wasn't coming. Stay away unless you like feeling neglected & abused.
