Dr. Ajay Abad, MD

I am so happy that Dr. Abad is my Neuro-oncologist. From the very first appointment my wife and I felt extremely comfortable with him. He explains things clearly and plainly, and always with compassion. He really listens to concerns and cares for his patients. Him and his team are also very responsive on the portal and phone. I have been to other cancer hospitals in Houston and Boston and Dr. Abad has been happy to confer with the other doctors to give me the best care possible.I also have to recognize how great his team at Roswell is, especially Torey and Eryka. If you are unlucky enough to have a brain tumor, you should talk to multiple doctors about it - but you would be lucky to have Dr. Abad be one of them.

As a consulting physician, Dr. Abad was professional, caring, had reviewed the electronic health records, asked questions, preformed a neurological exam, welcomed a family member in the examining room and also on the phone, answering questions and communicating his treatment plan to all. He spent a great amount of time with us, and arranged bloodwork that very day. We were heard and respected! His connection and communication was appreciated and led to us trusting his expertise and care!

Dr Abad is always willing to answer all questions. He treats my husband’s cancerous brain tumor. Dr. Abad explains everything in a way that a lay person can understand. He is very personable and friendly. He is extremely knowledgeable! I highly recommend Dr. Abad.

Dr. Abad is a consummate professional with a pleasant demeanor. I trust him implicitly.

Vary caring, couldn’t ast for a better doctor

Dr Abad is a caring physician prone to being cautious in his diagnosis and treatment protocols. He is responsive on the portal and arranges quick appointments when needed unexpectedly. Unfortunately, he is seemingly supported in the neuro-oncology unit by two of the most disgruntled and lazy employees encountered at Roswell in years of tx there. This poor staffing impacts the visit experience. Luckily, the unit has multiple staff that are more in line with usual Roswell standards.

I feel so comfortable Dr Abad. He’s been handling my GBM for over 5 years. Straight forward Dr.

Dr. Abad is someone you are able to talk to and explains everything thoroughly. He takes all the time you need and is always so pleasant. He is an expert in his field. His office staff is also very friendly and accommodating.

Dr. Abad took great care of my sister. She was always very comfortable talking to him and asking him questions. He would take time out of his busy day just to check in with her and to sit and talk to her. He was with us through the hardest time of our lives, and he guided my sister and our parents through difficult medical decisions with patience. He is very knowledgeable and friendly, I would strongly recommend him to family and friends.
