Well, we never got that far. During this pandemic, many people are afraid to go to the hospital or even to the doctor. My husband is a recovering alcoholic who relapsed. The only thing I can do for him is wean him off the alcohol, give him plenty of fluids, feed him and try to support him through this. There are doctors who do not specialize in alcoholism who could prescribe meds to him as an outpatient. I would have been willing to take him to the office everday if necessary and have him submit to a blood alcohol test to get him the help he needs. All you hear from doctors' receptionists when seeking help for this is that they "don't do this type of treatment". My God!! A medical problem is a medical problem and when your only obligation to the patient is to help and not hurt, and to simply prescribe meds for 3 or 4 days, even if it has to be under certain rules like reporting to the office then I feel the oath that doctor took must not mean much - at least not to his staff!

After waiting for over 1 hour. I asked if he was even in. I was told no he is at the hospital. I asked if PA was in. Saw her but she thought I was another patient and started reading her RX's to me. Not cool. Have found another doctor.

This doctor has no concern for patients in the ER. He would rather talk on his phone than assist those in need. He's a real jerk.
