On my first visit this morning with Dr. Tamaki, she proved to be inquiring, attentive, responsive to questions and concerns, patient with my occasionally meandering explanations of symptoms and thoroughly knowledgeable. Also, almost as remarkable as Dr. Tamaki’s clearly empathetic and otherwise adept therapeutic skills is her genial disposition, which is evident as soon as she enters the exam room to greet you. She somehow manages to be both clinical and affable at once. Finally, It is refreshing to consult a physician these days who offers the patient a genuine smile or two during your visit.
