Dr. Alaina Kessler, MD

I write this to inform and protect others, hoping to encourage accountability and patient-centered care. My loved one was treated by Dr. Alaina Kessler for Stage 0 HER2 breast cancer at Mount Sinai. Her approach was marked by aggressive, profit-driven recommendations with little regard for the patient’s overall health or pre-existing lung disease. She prescribed pre-surgery chemo that showed no actual benefit and followed with a harsh regimen (Adotrastuzumab Emtansine & radiation) that severely damaged my loved one’s lungs. Within days, she suffered a painful rash, bleeding, and rapid decline. Though Dr. Kessler seemed kind and attentive, her decisions followed rigid, one-size-fits-all protocols rather than thoughtful, individualized care. Her failure to coordinate with specialists and consider compounded risks contributed to irreversible harm. Patients deserve more than compassion—they deserve competent, collaborative care.
