Dr. Alaina Payne, MD

Dr. Payne was not satisfied with my lab work during an annual physical. She ordered additional; testing twice and discovered my leukemia even though I was very active, externally healthy and feeling great. That was three years ago. The second chemo drug is working and I'm currently undetectable. Dr Payne's tenacity to dig deeper will never be forgotten. She is the best!

Dr. Payne is my parents’ physician. They love her. She always listens intently to them and makes them feel important and validated. She has solved several health problems for my 90-year-old dad and won’t stop until she figures out how to fix the issue. If she is not satisfied with the care from a specialist to which she has referred him, she will keep seeking answers. She has been a blessing in their lives.

I set up an appointment with Dr. Payne a year ago after my PCP of 25 years decided to relocate. I was in the midst of dealing with a serious health issue and it was important to find a PCP who could advise me in many areas and help guide me through the various treatments and deal with their side effects. I walked away from our first meeting with a great feeling of relief, not feeling like I was going it alone anymore. She frequently surprises me with her knowledge in areas I thought were too specialized for a family physician to be so well informed. Most importantly, she's been very open-minded with listening to research I've done, being an effective sounding board, and following up on issues I've brought up during our meetings. In a profession full of clock watchers, uncaring and sometimes inconsiderate MDs, she's stood out from the crowd with her caring and kindness. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a PCP to be their healthcare "quarterback." Excellent staff, too.

Very kind, knowledgeable and makes you feel heard

Dr. Payne is a rare kind of doctor. She is young and brilliant, but also has a bedside manner that calms. She goes the extra mile for her patients. She and her nurse, Ashley, are incredibly responsive. Call backs are quick. Dr. Payne did not make me wait in pain for a scheduled appointment. She called me, addressed it, and helped me so much.
