Dr. Alan Chang, MD

I would give him 10 Stars if I could. Dr Alan Chang is an amazing endocrinologist. As a patient that has had thyroid cancer years ago, I was desperately trying to find an endocrinologist that didn’t treat me like a lab sheet. Dr Chang takes the time to listen to my concerns and explain everything clearly. He went above and beyond to guarantee I received the best possible treatment plan when he diagnosed my reoccurring cancer. He diagnosed my condition quickly and accurately, and his treatment plan has made a significant difference in my quality of life. You will not be disappointed!

My first appointment (3/2022) with Dr. Chang was in office visit, I knew I had a long road ahead of me to get my thyroid levels normal and I needed someone that I liked, but more importantly someone I trust. I immediately felt a sense of relief when I met dr. chang, I felt I was finally in great hands and I didn’t have to worry about doubting his methods/treatment. The rest of my visits all have been virtual and he gives you the same attention and care he would as if you were in his office. He has always been so responsive to my messages on HealtheLife app, he did warn me in our first appointment, he said any questions or concerns to message him there because that is the best way to reach him and he definitely was correct about that. I’ve had hypothyroidism for years and he is the only doctor that finally brought my levels to normal and that is all because of his non stop efforts to send me new labs, new meds, new plan… etc . If you are looking for a doctor that listens to you and is willing to work with you but at the same time suggests great medical advice then you need to go see dr. Alan chang. Best doctor hands down!!!

WARNING- STAY AWAY FROM STONY BROOK ENDOCRINOLOGY- THEY JUST FIRED ME AS A PATIENT BECAUZD THEY REFUSED TO HELP ME WITH MY NEW PUMP THAT THEY HAD RECOMMENDED TO GET IT. ELIZABETH THE OFFICE MANAGER SAID SHE WILL SEND ME A LSIT OF NEW PRACTICES AND I SAID WELL DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG IT TAKES TO FIND A NEW ENDO AND SHE TOLD ME IN HER OWN WORDS “YOU’LL BE FINE”. STAY FAR FAR AWAY! DR CHANG DOES NOT CARE ABOUT HIS PATIENTS! HE TOOK 3 WEEKS TO CALL ME BACK WHEN MY BLOOD SUAGRS WERE IN THE 300s DUE TO PARTUM, LUCKILY MY AMAZING MFM DOCTOR WAS ANKE TO ADJUST MY NUMBERS UNTIL DR CHANG DECIDED TO DO HIS JOB

Dr Chang is very smart and very caring. I am lucky to have found him.
