Highly competent doctor. Great bedside manner!
My 93 year old father visited the urgent care facility and Dr. Cherkasky was the doctor who helped him. Dr. Cherkasky is a great guy and he "knows his stuff." He treated my father with respect and kindness. He not only gave medical advice, he also gave practical advice for being healthy overall. He even gave us his special recipe for oatmeal. In this age of "move them in and move them out" big network medical clinics, Dr. Cherkasky is "breath of fresh air" and he actually cares. (yes I know it rhymes). Jeff Gardner

Dr. Cherkasky Review
Dr. Cherkasky was phenomenal. I came in with a severely infected cat bite. He answered all of my questions, and had a great sense of humor which alleviated my stress. He was patient and listened well to my worry about possible consequences of the bite. Would highly recommend him.

Horrible visit. He had his mind made up before we got on the call, and started telling me that diet was the issue, without ever asking what I normally eat! If a symptom I was having didn't align with his pre-determined answer, he dismissed it. I gave up on him when he brought up a solution for my "diarrhea" for the 3rd time... I have not been experiencing diarrhea! He also talked about a specific test, which my trusted PCP advised against, told me how terrible and unreliable the test was, and I told him I didn't want it, and he ordered it anyway. (It was also, completely unrelated to what my appointment was about.) Another note - He took a personal call during my 'visit'. It was brief, but I have never had a doctor do this before. It surprised me.

His huge ego gets in the way of giving proper care to the patient. He asked no questions and became upset when I questioned his advice. He pointed to the "MD" on his nametag and said "What does this say?! I'm the doctor." It was almost laughable it was so strange. He went ahead to prescribe me a very questionable oral antibiotic and when I followed up w his nurse, she seemed surprised he never prescribed a topical antibiotic to go w it. Would not recommend.

Seemed very judgemental and borderline rude. 30 seconds into the consultation he acted like he knew everything about me and passed judgement. Big ego. Would not use again.

This doc saved me! Prescribed a z-pack and diagnosed me with influenza with risk for pneumonia; ordered that I take the whole next week of work off, provided a note. Very grateful for his help and advocacy.

Seemed knowledgeable, but inappropriate. He judged myself and my fiance on living together, asked if I had told my father (???), judged us--extremely hard--on our use of contraceptives, and told my (newly graduated from grad school) fiance to "hurry up and get a job". Blessed that I wasn't too sick, but we felt that those comments & blatantly (and repeatedly) stating his disapproval took up the majority of the appointment.

Honestly I've seen a lot of MD's before and he was different than the rest. He related and sympathized with what I was going through. He was very precise yet kind in helping me. It's very rare to find a doctor that is very knowledgeable and genuine. I saw him at Park Nicollet UC on 05/09.
