Dr. Alan Lucas, MD

When our mother was brought to the ER the day before Thanksgiving due to fluid in her lungs and other cancer related complications Dr. Lucas was the doctor that ended up admitting her to the hospital. He took his time hearing her story, was incredibly compassionate, and was quick and proactive in finding ways to get her as much relief as possible (and as quickly as possible). He was not just kind and compassionate toward her- but was also incredibly empathetic toward us, her family members. We are still here, on Thanksgiving day, and he’s made time to stop in and check on her; when some of her issues had t resolved he acted quickly to get the next necessary steps done to provide her with the relief she needed. We have interacted with countless doctors all over while on this cancer journey with our Mother and he has been, by far, one of the most down to earth and caring.

He's awesome. Just awesome. Smart, kind, communicative, thorough, and most of all CURIOUS to find out the source of issues. His intellect and deductive reasoning solved a very complex medical issue. I wish he was my regular doctor. WVMC you're lucky to have him!
