I have know Dr. Pearlman for years, as he has been my mother’s nephrologist. The level of care and attention he has provided my mother with her various kidney problems has been unmatched. As I got older and I started experiencing kidney issues of my own, his level of care never changed. I fully trust Dr. Pearlman with my mother’s kidney health, my own kidney health, and the kidney health of any other of my loved ones.

I was sent to see a nephrologist by my doctor for unusual lab results. I was very apprehensive and anxious about what the specialist would say. Dr Perlman was thorough, knowledgeable and reassuring. I would gladly recommend him to anyone who needed a great nephrologist.

Both Dr Perlman and I have grown from our relationship. Initially he gave me my prognosis w/o any filtering and was smart enough to see my reaction(loss of color in my face). Since then he has communicated with me in a manner that he knows I can best tolerate..mind you he doesn't sugar coat important details but presents it to me in a very palatable way..and I truly appreciate that. Additionally, everything he's advocated for me from adding Farxiga and GLP's to my regimen has been spot on..I've lost 30lbs in the past 3 months and from my recent blood results I seem to be doing fine. I'd also like to add that I'm a member of the WTCHP, certified for Nephrological disease, which acts as a payer of 3rd resort but requires a lot of advocating by the doctors. He's never balked at doing what's requested even though he's a very busy man. So net net, I feel secure that I'm getting the best possible help by being a patient of Dr Perlman.

Dr. Perlman practices medicine with a depth of knowledge and degree of caring that is woefully lacking in today's "head 'em up, move 'em on" version of health care. Dr. Perlman genuinely, actively listens, and applies his diagnostic detective skills to go deeper with his evaluation and testing. His thoughtful approach seeks to uncover the underlying issues, as real medicine should, rather than give a generic and dismissive answer, or solve every problem reflexively with the wave of a prescription pen. While it may take a long time to schedule an appointment, seeing Dr. Perlman is definitely worth the wait. But don't take my word for it. My advice is to schedule your appointment, and while you're waiting, go see someone else, so that when you do see him, you'll know the difference for yourself. I wish you blessings and good health.
