We love Dr. Rashid
Dr Rashid has a calm and patient demeanor. He never seems rushed. He listens to my concerns and we talk out options. He is proactive in his care so I never feel like something is going to be missed like it has been with other pediatricians we’ve had. After one visit, I immediately switched all my children to his care. My daughter actually looks forward to her checkups so she can see her “friend Dr. Rashid” :)

Dr. Rashid did a well-child exam for an under 2-years and despite me asking about the child's ears, missed that the eardrum had burst or was infected. When I asked about the ears during the visit, he stated, "There is lots of hard, sticky wax. Lots." I persisted, "But they are clear?" "Yes." I went to another pediatrician two days later to discover that not only had there been an infection, the eardrum burst. While it is possible the eardrum was intact during this visit, it is not possible that there was ZERO sign of infection when I went for a well-child exam. After asking about the ear, Dr. Rashid did look in the child's chart and identify that there had been more than one occasion of ear infection listed. In my opinion, this alone should have caused him to simply take one more look, especially if his view was blocked by, as he stated, "lots of hard, sticky wax." That's what we're there for-so get the wax out of the way. Those wax removing sticks are even available right in the room!

My toddler has received excellent care. The doctor is patient, hears our concerns, knows how to handle a fussy baby/toddler with gentleness but achieving results. He does not seem to judge our parenting decisions, but offers encouragement and helpful advice.
