Knew I was in good hands the moment I met Dr. Raymond. Made an appointment based on all the positive online reviews. He listens, never makes you feel rushed, is warm and patient, the kind of old school physician everyone wants but rarely finds. You couldn't find a better GI doctor in all of New York City.

Colonoscopy - patient Centered
I recently had a colonoscopy performed by Dr. Alan Raymond, Gastroenterologist with NYU Medical Center. This is to express how pleased I am with the experience. With some traumatizing medical events in my history, I was pensive about this, but, Dr. Alan Raymond and his teams in the office at 555 Madison Ave. and at NYU’s Ambulatory Care Center on East 38 th St demonstrated the height of medical professionalism, compassion, and dedication to patient care. He and his office team did everything possible to place me at ease. The easy tolerant prep accommodated my schedule and my appetite. The facilities both at 555 Madison Ave and on E38th St. are “state of the art” not only with medical innovations but with “patient care” as a priority throughout. Every “touch point” in the process was a “home run” in terms of building my confidence and fostering relaxation. I recommend Dr. Raymond and NYU Medical for any similar need.

Doctors visits make everyone anxious. Luckily, I found Dr. Raymond through my insurance website. The staff is very accommodating, nice & helpful. Dr. Raymond was caring, reassuring and very knowledgeable. He did not rush me & let me ask all the questions I wanted to ask. The office is very clean & modern-not your typical NYC cramped office. YEAH -part of NYU too! All other patients were treated as I was. No one was treated the way Mr. Negative reviewer was. This office is AMAZING!

Dr. Raymond & his staff are how I want all of my doctor office visits to be. The staff was helpful, informative, patient, professional, & friendly. The doctor himself was very attentive, kind, patient, & understanding to my medical conditions. He listened to everything I had to say and I was not rushed once. We sat and talked without him looking at the clock, like many other doctors tend to do! I appreciated his time and will definitely be following up with him as he's a great gastroenterologist

Very knowledgeable, not threatened by my own research and knowledge (after having to become my own advocate due to sub-par doctors previously). He's a bit hard to communicate with (phone is impossible, the NYU electronic system is still not up to snuff)
