Terrible experience
I met with Dr. Bolanos on September 3, 2024 and scheduled knee surgery for October 23, 2024. About 2 weeks prior to surgery called in with questions, left messages. No return call. Called his assistant several times unable to leave voicemails. Called twice after for supervisor left messages again no response. Day before surgery had to call again, on phone for an hour, no one available to take my call and was told my surgery was canceled. No explanation. Once again left messages with no response and amazingly they removed my access to my portal. The never called, emailed me nor responded to my portal messages. I printed out all information from my portal the day of scheduled surgery. Extremely unhelpful staff, extremely disrespectful of me as a patient and I had to find another medical professional.

Right knee mcl - office staff
Had talked with Dr Bolanos & Nick ofc staff of surgery future WC injuries & RK mcl(NOT WC)9/25/23 surgery. Got a bill for $20,000.00,Sutterhealth saying surgery bill denied SHOWN as WC Claim. Sent email to office explained WC shouldnt have ANTHING to do with my right knee surgery. Called ofc spoke with Nick. I explained to nick medicare said need to put through bill again. Medicare said OFFICE had to have put something in order for them to try and bill WC. Nick's tone of voice was very short & disgusted. Rambled on the phone number for there billing office. I sent email saying Nick could have answered differently. **Sorry for the confusion about your bill, but can/should call are billing office and I'm sure we can get it corrected. I've worked in customer services for over 40yrs. and believe me we would get called on the carpet if reported to supervisor. I would not recommend Dr Bolanos office due to poor office mgmt. I'm sure there's other Sutterhealth doctors.

Dr. Bolanos is kind and caring in dealing with his patients. He makes you feel very comfortable and understood. I would not recommend his scheduler however. I was in significant pain and expressed that I had fallen and was afraid I broke and/or tore something in my knee. She said it would be a week till they could see me and expressed absolutely no compassion for my condition. I will say, I called back a few minutes later to ask for an alternative and the staff member who answered got me righ in
