Dr. Alessandra Rotella, MD

I took my daughter to Dr. Rotella. I started the visit by saying I think my 11 month old daughter had a UTI. Her urine smelled, she was running a fever of 101 and vomited the night before. She told me that usually children are miserable when they have a UTI. My daughter didn't look that bothered to her. She told me it was a virus, I told her I wanted my daughter checked. She proceeded to put a bag on my daughter and told me when she peed I could bring the bag to the lab. I asked if I could feed her in the room until she peed. She told me no. I had to sit in the car and try to maneuver removing the bag with out contaminating the sample. Sure enough my daughter had the uti. The story can go on much longer as this turned into a terrible experience with the entire practice who couldn't get on the same page about treating my daughter for kidney failure. A UTI with a fever means the kidneys are infected. I would never trust her or the office with the care of my children again.
