I have been a patient of Dr. Demac for almost 10 years. Dr. Demac has always provided me with the best possible care. He is extremely kind, compassionate, and caring. Under his care and guidance, I have been able to surmount tremendously difficult situations in my life. I have recommended Dr. Demac to family in the past and they have nothing but good things to say about him and his practice.

I have been a patient with dr demac for several years now and his help has been tremendous. He is very knowledgeable about both medicine and therapy and is a patient, kind and flexible human. I would recommend him to ANYONE having a hard time or who needs to talk to someone and I in fact have already sent friends and family to him and they happily agree with my feelings. Dr Demac is a great man and I owe him very much so for helping me get back on track and always being there when needed, even unscheduled phone calls. He cares for his people greatly.

Ive been a patient for over a decade and have improved tremendously in that time. I struggled with addiction, depression and crippling anxiety and he has helped me with all those things. I have been clean for 11yrs now and while initially i couldn't leave my house without hyperventilating, I am now free to do whatever I please. I understand why some people could feel he is cold or unfeeling but my understanding is that this is necessary for a successful clinical relationship in order to maintain healthy boundaries and limit harmful countertransferance. I need someone who will be completely objective with me and help me gain insight into the things i need to change and while sometimes it can be painful and make me defensive it has been essential for my growth and i am grateful for the help i have been given.

Dr. Demac is an arrogant and emotionless person. He charges out of pocket for service that is unhelpful and frustrating. He doesn't answer questions, only asks further confusing questions to gaslight the patient.

Putting aside Dr. Demac's out-of-wack fees, this Doctor is inflexible, and perhaps more disheartening, extremely arrogant. He is not connected to his patient and creates a very uncomfortable atmosphere for dialogue, just the opposite of what you want in a psychiatrist. I do not recommend Dr. Demac; there are many wonderful psychiatrists in NYC; there is no reason to go to somebody like this.

The fees charged by Dr. Demac seem like a sick joke but they are real. Outrageous billing and this shows that, once again, money is far more important than the patient. Avoid this office unless you are extremely ealthy, can pay out of pocket and don't mind the arrogance of this psychiatrist.
