Felt rushed
Doctor felt rushed and wasn’t empathetic to how I was feeling, I didn’t feel heard. Appointment lasted 5 mins after I waited 2 months for appointment.

Caring, understanding, informative, patient
Dr. Allen was compassionate and listened to my concerns. He took the time to explain everything he was considering and recommending. And when he got test results, he informed me very quickly -- and he contacted me himself. One of the best doctors I have visited.

He sees you and listens!
I was having awful migraines that were not going away, wound up in the ER twice. I couldn't get an appointment with any NYU Neurologists and when the hospital called for a follow up I explained my dilemma. I received a call later that Dr. Allen had a cancellation for the next day. I grabbed it without knowing anything about Dr. Allen. He actually looked at me while we spoke, he heard my pain, he made some initial dx and ordered all kinds of tests to rule out the scary stuff. He then prescribed a medicine that helped me so much I am forever grateful. Whenever I message him on my chart he or one of his team answer me back the same day. I needed to come in right away and I was able to see Jenny his NP right away, she was helpful and also paid close attention to me. I did not feel rushed nor do I feel like a number. I highly recommend Dr. Allen and his Team!

Not a good experience
Misdiagnosed me and was not willing to authorize restrictions upon my return to work despite prescribing debilitating medications for nearly a year. All these doctors care about is making money off your insurances so I would beware.

Amazing
I saw Dr Allen after seeing several neurologists in Long Island- no one could figure out my problem- my PCP recommended that I see Dr Allen- I was told he was an amazing diagnostician who sees very complicated cases that other doctors cant figure out. He was able to review all of my MRIs right there and solved my problem. He really saved me. He also happens to be a really nice person and is very compassionate!
