Highly recommend Dr. Katz
My vision was foggy and declining. I went to a local well known eye doc and was diagnosed with a rare form of cataract, PPC, in both eyes. He told me he had seen about 3 of these cases over the past 5 years. He was ready to schedule me for surgery and explained I would most likely require a 2nd, follow-up surgery, due to the high risk and probable complications. I got 2nd opinions. I had been to Dr. Katz a few years back for basic eye care and decided to see what he had to say. I did not to mention the previous diagnosis because I wanted a fresh and unbiased opinion. Dr. Katz did the most thorough exam and concluded that I, in fact, had a PPC. He skillfully and thoroughly explained my condition and answered all questions with empathy. He could have hastily signed me up for surgery, but instead chose to do what was best for me. He referred me to a doc who had much more experience with this form of cataract. I ended up in CA for a very successful result. Dr. Katz is the best

Did not disclose surgery was with another provider
Shady business, patients beware with your insurance coverage! Went to Katz because they were 'in network' with my insurance. But they farm out the surgery facilities to Treasure Coast Surgery Center which is 'out of network' - Kats did not disclose this to me and my copay was 25% instead of in network 20%! I would have never agreed to the surgery had this been disclosed to me, and I would have found health care providers in my network! Katz refuses to help now saying it's not their problem.

Outstanding doctor!
I just started going to Dr. Katz ln July of 2022. He performed my first cataract surgery on 8/1. During the office visit, he explained my cataract condition and was more than willing to answer all my questions. His office staff went the extra mile to make me feel welcome as a new patient. On the day of surgery, he was kind and compassionate as I was very nervous. So far - so good. I would highly recommend him.

Any surgery is a big deal!! This is a assembly line for cataract surgery. I feel that I was encouraged to have the surgery before I actually needed it. The result was not satisfactory, foggy, unclear and Dr Katz was arrogant with a awful bedside manner. My vision in my eye was worse then before the surgery.

My wife and I met with Dr. Nahas today. She was helpful, professional, and communicated very well with me and my wife. She took the time to listen to us and to explain about our vision challenges, plus she gave our options and the pros and cons of each. Instead of the type that seems to be going through the motions, she truly cares about her patients. I was a patient of Ms Nahas 4 years ago, she has moved back to the area, and she truly is the best.

I had been to another eye specialist in the area and was so dissatisfied with her service that I started looking for another specialist based on reviews and education.I decided on Dr Katz and from the first visit I was impressed. It took him about 15 minutes to do what the other specialist has you 3-4 hours to do.He also seemed very versed on his professional expertise.I trust his recommendations because my eyes are doing better with him.

I had a emergency a retinal tear and Dr Katz saw me right away that weekend. He took great care of me. I had never been to him before, but he is great ! One of the nicest, kindest doctors I ever met. My husband and I were very impressed and have told all of our friends to go and see him if they need a eye doctor.
